Soapy Station

Role: Sound Designer & Composer

One of the inspirations for the game was Japan’s train systems. One feature of these systems is the collection of associated jingles that every train has to signal its arrival in the stations. I created several jingles in a similar style for Soapy Station. The sound design was created with the aesthetic of cute, fun, and bubbly interaction as well as clear player feedback in mind.

It’s your job at Soapy Station to wash each train as it goes by. Try to clean as much of the train as you can, and watch as the passengers cheer you on! Once you’ve finished, the inspector will tell you how you did. Practice makes perfect!

Programming by Nick Jensen, art by Henry Lutts, and sound by Joe Marchuk.

How to Survive a Boston Blizzard

Role: Composer

HtSaBB is a short narrative experience that any Bostonian college student could giggle at. I was asked to create charming, fun, relaxing-yet-energizing wintery music, without getting to “Christmas-y”. This was the result:

Playing through a text based experience, make choices while talking to a sarcastic and sassy computer trying to show how to live in Boston during a blizzard. Three separate path allow players to pick just how they wish to experience the snow

Shooty Squad

Steam page

For Shooty Squad, I was asked for two very different pieces. A trap style for the trailer, and an epic-movie-strings-and-percussion type of deal for the menu music. I took on both while trying to keep a little bit of my own personal flavor.

Shooty Squad is a fast paced, competitive multiplayer first person shooter. With weapons and maps focused on being as balanced and competitive as possible !

Dogs have inherited the world, building the kingdom of Pugmire untold centuries after the Ages of Man are over. These dogs have been uplifted to use tools and language, and they seek to rediscover the ruins of the Old Ones. Some have learned to use the leftover technology of humanity, but they believe it to be magic handed to them by their lost gods. Others seek to create an ideal civilization, using a Code of Man compiled from ancient, fragmentary lore left behind by humanity. These civilized dogs have a moral code that classifies some people as “good” and others as “bad,” although not “evil” — that’s reserved for insane monsters that only seek destruction and chaos. The world is dangerous and mysterious, but good dogs will persevere.
